This was a great read,as it tells the true story of Mike Calvert,who successfully fought a guerilla war in the jungle,against the Japanese in WW2. When the Japanese first invaded South East Asia,it didn't look as if anything could stop them.Many fled into the jungle,but many didn't survive,due to lack of experience to survive in the jungle. Mike was one of the few who did know what to do,and his memoirs here,are really interesting.It's one of the best WW2 memoirs I've ever read.Mike would survive the war,but he would enter a dark phase in his life,as he would emigrate to Australia. As he would say at the end-to quote:"That's another story." I would have loved to have met him. Rest in Peace sir.
