Spartacus 1960.

This was a great film,directed by the late Stanley Kubrick, although he later disowned the film.However,there were some great moments in it.I liked these ones;

The final battle scene was tremendous, with 8000 Spanish Army soldiers playing the Roman soldiers. Their battle manoeuvres were awesome.

In the scene where Crassus(played brilliantly by the late Laurence Olivier) identifies Spartacus-obviously the late Kirk Douglas-the music is really powerful and dramatic, as are the actors.

The final scene in the film is really sad,as we know the bad guys won.Of course, in reality, Spartacus was defeated, but he wasn't crucified. He died in battle, but the Romans never found his body. It's highly unlikely we'll ever find out what really happened. After all,the Roman writers didn't record this event,not till after a century later.
