Paths of Glory:(1957)

An anti-war film directed by the late Stanley Kubrick.

It is based on a true event in World War One,when three French soldiers were executed by firing squad,on a charge of cowardice. The late Kirk Douglas was heavily involved in the making of the film,as well as starring in it.Upon its release, some countries even banned it,saying it could influence their military to disobey orders in real-life.

Ir's very well performed by everyone, and of course:the anti-war message is portrayed perfectly in it,The sadness and futility of the war, demonstrate its brutal reality.

In the real-life incident, the three French soldiers accused of the charge, were actually acquitted, but the order came too late. The execution had already been carried out.
